University can be an extensive place to attend, but you can make this a more affordable experience by searching for a grant or scholarship. Finding scholarships for university undergraduates does not have to be a tedious experience.  There are some excellent sources of information which can make the process much easier.

If you are still attending high school, there may be plenty of options open for you.  From community organizations, to people who are creating memorials, to scholarships focused toward school-related accomplishments and extra-curricular activities, your guidance counselor can provide a wealth of useful information about these and other scholarships which are available to students who are preparing for college.  

The student who is already attending a university can also find scholarships through his or her college.  From special-interest groups to academic achievement and more, you might not need to look any further than your school to find those that are suitable for you.  Many universities themselves also offer scholarships to both current and prospective students.

The internet is also an excellent source of information.  However, you must be careful to avoid sites which are not legitimate.  Websites which advertise scholarships for university undergraduates should not require a fee.  A staff member in your school’s guidance department can help to direct you toward legitimate offers.  It can go a long way in helping you to pay for your education.
